I ordered two pairs of Talon grip vise jaws with some of the extra long Talon grip jaw inserts. Mitee-Bite lists all jaws to be machined within .001” of their specs. I thought this would be a fun exercise using our Starrett granite plate to check all 4 of them against each other. We’re getting within .001” difference between them so within specs but all 4 of them have .0005” of lift right on the very edge. Any closer and they’ll need to be match ground on a surface grinder. #abom79 #miteebite #s
