Hypervolemia, or fluid overload, is a condition in which there is too much fluid in the blood. Although the body does need plenty of fluid to remain healthy, too much can cause a dangerous imbalance.
Normally, your body is made of about 50%-60% fluid, including water, blood, and lymphatic fluid. When your fluid levels are out of balance (too high or too low), serious health problems can happen.
